Provide professional leak detection services and repair of the lines to include labor, materials, equipment, investigative services, and any other services necessary to complete the work in accordance with the terms and conditions of the resulting contract for the subject project at VA Medical Center, Boise, Idaho. This project provides for testing and location of leak(s) in the open and closed loops of the geothermal and hot water heating lines and repair of those lines in an area located across the VA Medical Center Campus. The service is to include but not limited to: Coordinate with VA personnel a proper time frame to isolate and test sections of the lines one at a time until a leak is discovered. Once a leak is detected, the contractor will repair the section and at this time, to include installing insulation as required, testing will continue until all leaks are detected and repaired accordingly. Depending on circumstances found, the VA may decide to dig up additional suspect areas even if leaks have not been confirmed. This may lengthen the time between tests. In addition to the process of repairing leaks, the VA may require the contractor to install valves and/or anodes while piping is exposed. After the repair is complete, the contractor will repair any landscaping, including asphalt and concrete, that was disturbed.

This project provides for replacement of leaking sections in the open (B.45, 23, 1, 28, 24, and 44)(cap B.4) and closed loops (B.29, 8, 50, 43, and 34)(cap B.13) of the geothermal and hot water heating lines located across the VA Medical Center campus. After the repair is complete, the contractor will repair any landscaping, including asphalt and concrete, that was disturbed.
